Nearly 8,200 tons of LNG will be delivered to the Synthos chemical plants. This is the effect of the agreement signed on August 23, 2019 between PGNiG OD and Synthos. The contract will be effective until the end of 2021, with the possibility of increasing the volume by 30 percent during its course.
Liquefied natural gas will be transported by Gas-Trading’s cryogenic tanks from the President Lech Kaczyński terminal in Świnoujście as well as from the PGNiG installation in Odolanów. In the future, it is planned to launch the rail transport using ISO containers.
It is worth noting that LNG is one of the cleanest fuels available on the market, which is used in many industries. After regasification, the recipient receives a fuel that in the combustion process ensures a significantly lower carbon dioxide emission compared to conventional petroleum fuels, as well as trace emissions of dust, nitrogen and sulfur oxides.
